Product: My11Circle, Games24x7
Industry: Fantasy Sports
Timeline: 7 weeks (2024)
My Role: Product Designer
Building a fantasy team was a time-consuming and repetitive task for users. Most players relied on a single expert team, leading to duplicate picks and lower chances of winning big. We redesigned the team creation journey to make it faster, personalized, and more strategic, empowering users with unique combinations and effortless play strategies.

Who are the Users ??
The Users
This project was more from a retention point on view and the users at the same time will be the casual and serious fantasy players, each with different levels of time, interest, and expertise. Some wanted quick and ready-made teams, others preferred small tweaks for control, while a few invested time in detailed research. Across all types, the common needs were speed, personalization, and a fair chance to win.

User Research
Our users and Their Playstyle
Through user research and behavior mapping, We identified three key user segments, each interacting with expert teams in a distinct way. While their goals were similar — win more, with less effort — their approaches and frustrations were very different
Novice Player

The Instant Picker
Behavior:
Pick an expert team instantly without modifications.
Pain Points:
End up selecting common teams used by thousands of others.
Have no time or options to personalize.
Novice Player

The Tweaker
Behavior:
Pick an expert team but tweak a few players — like captain, vice-captain, or 1–2 key swaps.
Pain Points:
Have to manually check stats before making changes.
No guided support to know which tweaks actually help.
Extra effort for minimal gain.
Novice Player

The Analyst
Behavior:
Spend time researching most-picked players, trends, and expert recommendations.
Build a custom team from scratch using data.
Pain Points:
Takes too much time (4–6 mins or more).
Overwhelmed by data → decision paralysis.
The Instant Pickers

Core Journey and Problem Identification
Create Team Journey
This is where users manually build their fantasy team from scratch.
While it gives them full control, it often felt time-consuming and overwhelming especially for casual users who didn’t want to spend 5+ minutes analyzing players.
My design focused on simplifying player selection and giving users quick insights so they could build confidently without getting stuck.

Experts Team Page
This page let users pick pre-made teams by experts, but most of them felt generic and repetitive.
Many users ended up with duplicate teams, lowering their chances of winning.

Problem Statement
Players across segments new, casual, and serious—face friction in the lobby, team creation, KYC, and add cash journeys, causing drop-offs and low trust. Through design, The aim is to simplify these flows, build clarity, and create a conistent and engaging experience tailored to different player needs.
